Job Description
Artifact is an award-winning 2D and 3D design studio based in Atlanta and LA. We create ground-breaking, envelope-pushing, on-target design and animation for advertising agencies, production companies, and tv networks. We offer a highly energetic, challenging, and creative work environment. The Broadcast Design Assistant supports the Creative Team, the Producers, and our General Manager in various tasks in Artifact’s Atlanta studio. Applicant should be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and MOST IMPORTANTLY, AFTER EFFECTS. Duties include simple 2D animation and design, rotoscoping, versioning, archiving, logo work; office work such as preparing shipments, printing labels, research, answering phones, running errands, and light housekeeping (straightening up the kitchen, taking out the trash, etc.). The intern’s schedule and the amount of hours worked per week are flexible as long as he/she is available at least 20 hours per week. It is also preferable but not required that he/she be available for a few hours each day of the week. Artifact’s normal working hours are 9:30am – 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Applicant should have transportation to and from Artifact Design’s Atlanta studio.
Wages
$6.50/hour
Duration
Internship starts December 1st , 2009 and will last for approximately three months. Start and end dates of the internship may be adjusted to suit academic scheduling. On occasion, an internship will lead to a full-time position with Artifact Design, but there is absolutely no guarantee.
